Feature Friday with Cirencester Golf Club

Welcome to our Bluestone Insurance Feature Friday where each week we speak to an independent local business and find out about them.

In February we will focus on the Hospitality sector.  This week Danny met with Leighton Walker from Cirencester Golf Club.

Nestled into the Cotswold countryside, just off the A365 near Cirencester; Cirencester Golf club offers an ‘open all year’ golf course in which members and visitors benefit from picturesque golfing, an extensively stocked pro shop and 6 bay driving range open to everyone and available in the evenings.

The Club works to protect the environment and works in partnership with Royal Agricultural University to protect and encourage butterfly habitats as well as promoting a haven for many species of deer. The club is proud to produce honey from beehives situated on the course, which visitors can buy from the club house.

Whilst retaining its valuable traditions, Cirencester’s General Manager, Leighton Walker and his great team, work continually to make the golf club a progressive place with facilities in keeping with any modern day golf club.

Leighton and his team are dedicated to providing and maintaining the best facilities whilst being the foundation to the warm and friendly atmosphere.

The risks and challenges to running a golf club are unique as is the insurance cover that can be provided: damage to greens and playing surfaces, essential maintenance equipment being stored outside, trophies being stolen or damaged, hole in one cover and frost damage to greens.

Why not talk to your local broker today, to see what covers are available for your peace of mind.
